The Parker Point Reclaimer Replacement Study aimed to investigate, analyse, and complete the study works required for the replacement of three existing reclaimers with higher capacity units and develop the optimal execution strategy for their sequential replacement.

Project EPCM provider Bechtel engaged Intellect Systems to provide control systems engineering support for the project, delivering an Instrument and Control package of work including:

  • Early contractor engagement and management of Machine OEMs regarding instrumentation, control, and functional safety
  • Delivery of modifications to offboard systems, including functional safety upgraded Advanced Control Systems
  • Project engineering activities for instrumentation and control and functional safety packages

Our experienced control system engineers worked with the clients to achieve the outcomes of minimal operational disruption, implementation of solutions that adhered to budget and schedule, and a commitment to quality and safety throughout.

The successful execution of this project demonstrates Intellect Systems’ ability to partner effectively with EPCM providers and end clients to deliver complex control system solutions for large-scale asset upgrades.
