Mineral Resources’ Onslow Iron Project entails the construction of Marine and Port Infrastructure, Haul Road, Truck Maintenance Facility and Kens Bore mine camp to establish a 30Mtpa transhipping operation.

Intellect Systems was engaged in the design of LV electrical, communications, and security systems associated with the Onslow Port non-process infrastructure.

Working closely with the client, our electrical engineering team developed smarter solutions that were cohesive to the broader site design and focused on fast deployment and long-term reliability.

The scope of the project included:

  • Sitewide electrical supply and distribution
  • Communications network design
  • Site access security system design
  • Lighting design
  • Design of CCTV system
