Overview

Located in Australind, Paris Grove Village sets a new standard for accommodation in Australia and helps support the expansion of Albemarle’s Kemerton Lithium Hydroxide plant.

The accommodation will offer a range of amenities, including recreational facilities, an outdoor gym, and an on-site dining experience. The project will also help generate employment and business opportunities for the region, driving economic growth.

Scope

Grounded engaged Intellect Systems to design, manufacture and test, the following:

  • Form 3, IP56 Site Main Switchboards (3 Units)
  • Form 4B, Main Switchboard (10 Units)
  • Form 4B, Distribution Boards (31 Units)
  • Sewerage Pump Panels (2 Units)

Smarter Solutions

The client approached Intellect Systems to do a comprehensive review of a preexisting electrical design of switchgear for Paris Grove Village and propose a solution that both meets compliance standards, is fit for purpose and performs well in the site’s complex environment.

A thorough design assessment of the boards conducted by Intellect Systems revealed areas where the design could be improved to reduce costs and better align with compliance standards.

The preexisting design was focused on finding design work arounds to suit the intended product instead of adapting the product to deliver the optimal solution. Using our constructability and product knowledge, the client was provided with a tailored solution that achieved AS61439 compliance and delivered measurable cost savings.

Intellect Systems performance on the design validation saw the client extend the project’s scope to include the manufacture and supply of the switchgear.

Clients like Grounded benefit from Intellect’s established lean manufacturing philosophy, which delivers cost and time-saving benefits without compromising the quality of our products. With investment in systems and autonomous processing we are able to minimise waste and improve efficiency by the use of tools such as automated wire cutting and stripping to ensure precision while maximising output.

The Intellect Systems team were also able to assist the client with modifications to accommodate changes that were required prior to installation. Modifications were implemented prior to dispatch at the Intellect Canning Vale Manufacturing Facility and utilising an experienced team on site to implement the on-the-ground modifications required during installation.

The Paris Grove Village project exemplifies Intellect System’s comprehensive end-to-end capabilities. Using our product design expertise to optimise the solution at the front end helped us provide a smarter solution through the project lifecycle, delivering enhanced value and efficiency to our client in the final product.
